Becker Avionics Poland, a subsidy of Becker Avionics Group, signed a grant contract with Polish Autoritiy. It covers a governmental funding for a two-year project. The funded project, targeting the General Aviation market, will realize enhanced airborne Multi-GNSS GPS/SBAS receiver ready for serial production. The whole project has started already and will be finished by June 2023.
Major improvements of the receiver will be:
• Enhanced anti-jamming capabilities,
• Measures to identify and mitigate intentional interference (spoofing),
• block-chain track recording.
Target markets for the equipment are civil avia-tion light aircraft and UAV/UAM. The main function of the GNSS receiver is to provide position, velocity, and time information for a navigation management unit, or a non-navigation application such as an Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) or Terrain Awareness and Warning System (TAWS). The receiver will be capable to process navigation messages from GPS, Galileo, and other systems.
